What do you use to record your podcasts?

I'm wondering what software people are using to record their podcasts? I'm currently using NCH Software's Wavepad to do the bulk of my editing, and then using Audacity to piece it together.

I record all my podcasts into a TASCAM DP-01FX unit, which works well for me and is quieter than leaving my PC running during a record.

A while back I purchased Podcast Station, but seem to have problems when I attempt to mix music from hard disk and voice from an external source. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

I look forward to hearing your replies.

Cheers,
James Williams

Hi James,

admittedly I haven't done a great deal of recording - but I was simply using audacity and a borrowed tascam unit with my sennheisser mic

not eh ideal solution but it worked a treat - I've also thought about using Cubase as I've done a lot of multitrack music work with it in the past - but it seemed overkill for some basic speech
